A very close game took place in Carolina betweenGigantes and Vaqueros . Third ranked Gigantes (14-10) got a very close home victory over second-ranked Vaqueros (16-10). Gigantes managed to escape with a 1-point win 94-93 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Vaqueros. Carolina made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by international center George Conditt IV (208-2000, college: Iowa St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and the former international point guard Tremont Waters (180-1998, college: LSU, agency: Shark Sports Management) supported him with 26 points and 8 assists. Even 17 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists by the former international guard Gary Browne (185-1993, college: WVU) did not help to save the game for Bayamon . Dominican swingman Jassel Perez (195-2001) added 20 points for the guests. Five Bayamon players scored in double figures. Vaqueros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Carolina maintains third position with 14-10 record having just three points less than leader Caguas. Defending champion Bayamon keeps the second place with ten games lost.
